The Manuel we all been waiting for ..... has been reveal

And now I know, who Manuel is, it’s Manuel L. Quezon University

After of days of curiosity and intrigue as who this guy that we are waiting for.  Manuel was finally revealed. In time with the MLQU alumni get together, now being held at EDSA Shangrila, Manuel is finally known to all.

And finally it was also reveal that New San Jose Builders Inc. marketing is the one behind the ads and they doing a great job.  New San Jose Builders Inc is now the new proud owner of Manuel L. Quezon University.

Presentation of plans and ideas and new directions and renovation that are going are now on going and I myself am expecting much on this new venture of San Jose Builders Inc.

And the good news is MLQU is regaining its glorious days…..

And as for the billboard, “Maghihintay ako… - Manuel” which has been thedont talk of the town since numerous billboards with that statement were put up all over the Metro, and along the SLEX and NLEX. Who is Manuel? What is he waiting for? Is this a proposal? Questions have been circulating around the news as well as in social media.

All these questions boil down to one -- who is behind it?

The time has come for Manuel L. Quezon University (MLQU) to emphasize its historical significance to the new generation. Their plans for coming back into the limelight involved the campaign billboards we’ve seen around Manila. The campaign heralds the university's many plans to continue its legacy into the future.

“It’s about time that we get back on track and build the culture of excellence and legacy of becoming an outstanding institution,” New San Jose Builders, Inc. (NSJBI)  co-chairman and MLQU president Dr. Isagani Germar said.

Since New San Jose Builders' acquisition of MLQU last October 2014, the university's plans for upgrading are beginning to take shape. At the top of its priority are reclaiming its role as a breeding ground for nation-builders and producing graduates that would attain 100% passing rate in board and bar exams.  The new leadership of MLQU assures that with the help of the new management, today’s generation of Quezonians would be able to meet and even exceed the glory of the university's past.

Don’t argue with this, “SIKAT ‘PAG QUEZONIAN”

MLQU has produced notable Quezonians who have made an impact in their respective industries. Among these are Rustica Carpio (academician and multi-awarded actress on stage, film, and television) who first appeared in Ishmael Bernal’s Nunal sa Tubig in 1976. She made over 50 other films in her more than 30 years in the industry. Eleven of these movies were directed by film genius Ishmael Bernal, earning her the reputation in the movie industry as a Bernal favorite.
For her accomplishments, Dr. Carpio is a recipient of over 50 national and international honors and awards which includes being one of the Ten Outstanding Women of the Philippines in 1968 from Federacion Internacional de Abogadas (FIDA Phil.) for her invaluable achievements in the field of performing arts. She was also cited in The World Who’s of Women, Vol. 6, 1982 published in England by the International Biographical Centre.

Another alumnus who made a name for himself is Neil Perez, an officer of the Philippine National Police Aviation and Security Group, he won the title of Mister International Philippines in a pageant held in Seoul, South Korea on February 14.

The list of MLQU outstanding alumni is endless, and some of them held the position of Secretary of Justice in the person of Justice Ricardo C. Puno Sr.(1979-1984), Justice Sedfrey Ordoñez (1987-1990) and Justice Artemio Tuquero (2000-2001) while Justice Ricardo Villarama Jr., Justice Venicio Escolin, Justice Jose Melo, Justice Jose Vitug Justice Ruben Reyes and Justice Isagani A. Cruz went on to become associate justice of the Supreme Court.

Others who have gained fame in the practice of law are: Juctice Carmelita Manhan, Atty. Benjamin Tabios, Justice Alicia Sempio-Dy, Justice Nicolas Lapena, Atty. Norberto Quisumbing, Justice Manuel Pamaran, Justice Hilarion Aquino, Justice Roberto Abad, Justice Perlita Tirona, Justice Jose Vitug, Judge Jesus F. Guerrero, Justice Renato Dacudao, Atty. Ma. Luisa Dizon-Villarama, Justice Serafin Camillon, Justice Nicolas Lapena Jr,. Justice Luis Victor, Justice Enrico Lanzanas, Justice Ricardo Ilarde, Justice Ricardo Lagman, Justice Amparo Cabotaje-Tang, Justice Jose Hernandez, Justice Samuel Martires,  Atty, Conrado Vasquez, Atty. Medwin Dizon and Atty Danilo Lopez.
Meanwhile, MLQU graduates who made notable achievements in government service include  Former Foreign Affairs secretary Alberto Romulo; Former Commission on Elections chair Benjamin S. Abalos ; Former Labor Secretary and Senate President Blas F. Ople; Defense Secretary Voltaire Gazmin; Department of Trade and Industry undersecretary Lilia de Lima; Labor Secretary Rosalinda Baldoz; Tarlac Governor Jose V. Yap; Former Chairman, PCGG Magtanggol Gunigundo; Former Agrarian Reform Secretary and former Bulacan Governor Obet Pagdanganan; Former Senator Wigberto Tañada Former Senator Wenceslao Lagumbay; and Congressmen Rodolfo Albano Jr., Pangalian Balindog, Fredrick Abueg, Silvestre Bello III, Antonio del Rosario, Samuel Pagdilao and Reynaldo Umali.

Not to be forgotten are Police Senior Inspectors John Gary Erana, Max Jim Tria, and Rennei Tayrus, who served the country and sacrificed their lives as part of the Philippine National Police Special Action Force's “Fallen 44”.

With its many graduates who have achieved distinction in their field, MLQU is indeed a school for achievers and future heroes. This is because through quality education and training, MLQU strives to produce nationalistic, competent, educated, and upright Quezonians imbued with a spirit of selflessness and commitment to being of service to society. This is why many Quezonians have become sikat in their respective fields.

And finally we can say that MLQU is moving ahead................

MLQU offers courses such as Law and Paralegal Studies, Education, Arts and Sciences, Accountancy and Business Arts, Engineering, Graduate Studies, Criminology, Architecture, and Information Technology. Under the new management’s supervision, there is a plan to add a course on real estate management. All of these courses would not be possible without the credible and reliable faculty and deans who are industry experts and who graduated from top universities here and abroad in order for the school to offer world-class education.

MLQU als  aims to establish its presence in Balanga, Bataan, as well as strengthening its Professional School, the School for Professional Advancement & Con btinuing Education (SPACE), which would further upgrade the level of education that they provide.

With the involvement of its alumni, the public can expect more changes and improvements in MLQU.

MLQU recently held a grand alumni homecoming at the Edsa Shangri-La, Manila, with the theme: "MLQU Regaining its Glory! Sikat ‘pag Quezonian" hosted by Luanne Dy and GMA Kapuso host Drew Arellano. The event was attended by famous MLQU Alumni and notable government officials.

For years now, Alaska has always support nutrition this year; they are at it once more by supporting the World Milk Day.

Where Pizza lovers should Dine: Check out Mr. Pizza

Pizza, pizza, it seems like this is the only type of food that I have to taste whenever one of my children have something to celebration. Whatever the occasion maybe, birthday, graduation, New Year, Christmas, as in whatever that maybe, it was always the pizza that was the center of choices.
I was getting tired of arguing with them, so I might as well just give in (imagine 5:1 ration)

The good news now; I could now suggest a new place for them. I was able to attend the opening of Korea’s number 1 pizza,   Mr. Pizza.
The DreamTeam during the opening of Mr. Pizza

Mr. Pizza is an all-time popular gourmet pizza and I love watching them do the dough from scratch.  You will be mesmerized as to how fast they can do it.

A presenter of the color fun run where over 7,000 participants joined, Brother Philippines made the event even more exciting by introducing a special 6K category in the race, instead of the usual 5K race, and putting up a booth where runners are given premium items. Brother also gave away refill ink pillows to 6k participants and Refill Tank System MFCs to lucky runners.

Check the Expert panel for your Free Consultation

I may have five kids, but I’m not an expert when it comes to how to take care of them. It was actually a hit and miss times during those day. I don’t have a partner to talk to and if ever I need a professional advice, that means I need to shed some cash as well. I envy the moms of today because there are ways and means to get the best advice when it comes to their babies and this is free.

Huggies Philippines launched the “Expert Panel,” a new online consultation tool to help guide new and experienced moms through their motherhood journey. Through its parent company, Kimberly-Clark Philippines, they partnered with the Perinatal Association of the Philippines (PAP) to create an online hub for moms to get direct access to helpful tips and advice on maternal and baby care.

An extra sarap summer : Make Memories

Its summer and I remember times when we used to go out of town in a snap just because there is nothing much to do and just spend crazy time with the kids. There are actually no plans when eve we go out, just “okey, let’s go out” theme. The only problem then was food, since it’s a just spur at a moment but there’s always the ever reliable drive thru.

For the kids, there’s always the Jollibee (well, for the whole family actually)

Before and today is no different since Jollibee is still part of family’s get together and the good news is ,to celebrate these many fun memories and bonding activities this time of the year , colorful summer-themed decals showing families enjoying the outdoors and having a great time now adorn  Jollibee stores across the country. Indeed, there’s no place quite like Jollibee that can turn these summer moments even more memorable and fun with favorite langhap-sarap treats like the Chickenjoy, Yumburgers, and Jolly Spaghetti.

Alaska Ironkids 2015 Aquathon

Swim and run afterwards, well I can do (or am I kidding myself).

Alaska Aquathon 2015 is a test of endurance and agility, power of mind and body.

Open to children 6 to 14 years old, Alaska IronKids Philippines is the local junior version of the international triathlon series, Ironman. Triathlon is a race that features three sporting events: running, swimming and biking. The competition is open to kids who are new to the sport and those who have already joined other triathlon events. But this is just Aquathon because it only involves, swimming and running.

Alaska Ironkids aims to promote a well-balanced lifestyle for kids of today, who are used to staying indoors with TV, video game console and the Internet as companions. Ironkids is also the perfect venue for families to bond and for parents to demonstrate in “real-time” that being HEALTHY can also be fun.

Alaska Jr NBA/WNBA Finalist

After months of preparation, finally my long wait is over. To be able to find out who would be the able to join the alumni of Jr. NBA/Jr.WNBA was the climax of my whole coverage of the 2015 national search for the best young basketball players.  It was a nationwide search, to be able to gather all the best around the nation who are not just good players but team player as well is a something that the search should be proud of.

To be able to join the long list of JrNBA/JrWNBA presented by Alaska is not just an overnight dream. There are so many preparation for this, and I saw how the children and their parents did what think should be the steps to do it and finally get that goal.

Physical and emotional preparation and the spirit to not give up where the thing that I notice that each child possess as they auditioned for this training

There were actually 50 boys and 24 girls who made it to the 2015 National Training camp which was held last Apr. 24-25 at the PICC Forum. The big date was April 26, where 10 boys and 5 girls were ultimately named Jr.NBA/JrWNBA Philippine all-stars.

You might say that you would be sad for the rest of players who would not be picked but honestly, the training that they had from the time they auditioned in their respective areas was actually a prize that you can be proud of.  The training that was provided for them would also be their preparation for their future in the basketball sports.

Friso Camp Experience 2015 at Rustan's

When my children are growing up, I always update myself with event and happening that I believe would be a good be wonderful for their self development.  After class, they go directly to their rehearsals or lesson for arts and music. My children take up lessons in playing the violin, piano and they have ballet class as well.  There are weekends where they also have art lesson with Fernando Sena in different parts of the Metro. These lessons came with a price and that is why I am always on a look out for sponsored events by company about workshop and camps for their other exposure.  They study hard that is why I also believe that they can play hard. These are the memories that I have with my children and that can never be forgotten.

This believes was also the vision of Friso.

Friso believes that these experiences are important for child's development. A healthy overall well-being is not only driven by mental, emotional and social-growth, but more so by the memories and bonding experiences shared with the child's loved ones.
