Our first defense is our skin, and we should take care of  our skin and research are made to make sure that the skin is taken care of naturally.  Wound is the first thing that have to be avoided by the skin, for the tiniest wound could be the entry point of bad bacteria that could affect the entire system of  the body.

Traditional wound care all over the world, including the Philippines, makes use of harsh chemicals that kill bad bacteria to keep them from exacerbating wounds—but also kill good bacteria that should speed up the healing process.

Scientists the world over have been seeking ways to treat wounds without creating this adverse effects on healthy cells. Most recently, the green olive has been found to revitalize human cells, with strong scientific support. In 2004, Olivamine10, a new skin care product based on these findings, was launched. It quickly became the best-selling skin care product in hospitals and other medical institutions.

My Summer Fun at Aquaria Resort in Calatagan Batangas

Summertime is here one again, and it’s the time of the year that short vacation and excursion and reunion are rampant. With this kind of occasion, it is more exciting if we could do it out of town but not to the extent that we should spend a bundle of money and time just to do it. Going to Batangas has always been our favorite destination. There’s this new leisure resort in Calatagan known as Aquaria, it’s a 1.2 hectare world-class leisure property design by Landco for families and friends to enjoy exciting holiday.

Aquaria resort is our alternative lifestyle resort for Boracay and other far away beach destinations since it’s only a three hour maximum drive from Metro Manila.

C3, Your Family Oriented BPO Center with LOVE

I heard a lot of things about call centers and how fun it is working as a call center agent. BPO industry has been one of the most in demand jobs here in our land. I was just wondering if one BPO is the same as the others. I may not be able to visit the other BPO located in the Metro but I was fortunate to get a glimpse how it is to belong with C3.

What is it about C3, a customer contact channel at One Bonifacio Technology Tower in Taguig City that is giving job-seekers and employers alike something to think about?

C3 is not just another call center company. It infuses energy into the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) industry backed by the experience and the technical knowhow of a team of leaders headed by Andy Sarakinis, vice president and country manager.

During my attendance with the recent press conference held on C3 main office in BGC, there are lot of things and information that was discovered by yours truly. Great things happen to those who would try to be part of C3, as April Torrecampo shared. April who thought tat she had none of the qualities required of a call center agent but proved that her latent skill just need to be harnessed has been one of fast rising employee of C3. A career path with C3 is equated with opportunities for growth. Globally, about 9 out of 10 C3 employees are promoted from within.C3 offers above industry benefits to its employees and is constantly outfitting its human relations policies to fit the needs of its workforce

Lamoiyan kicks off advocacy program to mark 25 years in business

Filipino-owned Lamoiyan Corporation kicked off recently its advocacy program dubbed “Project Silver” as part of its 25th anniversary celebration themed “Giving Hope, Sharing Smiles.”
Hundreds of residents of Barangay 73 at the PNR Compound in Caloocan City received free medical and dental services last March 3 through Lamoiyan Corporation’s community project, “Adopt-a-Barangay,” which aims to increase the awareness in promoting proper oral care and in treating head lice.

“Starting this month, Lamoiyan Corporation is celebrating its 25th year in the business. Project Silver is actually one way of thanking our consumers for all the years they have been supporting our company. So it is but right that we do a medical-dental mission like this to really give back to them what we have received for the past years,” Lamoiyan Corporation Assistant Vice President for New Business Development Peter Paul Ang said in his message.

During the event held at the community's covered court, residents participated in the oral health education, diet counseling, lecture on head lice and tooth brushing drill led by teams from both Lamoiyan Corporation and the Kalookan City Dental Society.

The people also benefited with free distribution of toothbrush and toothpaste, fluoride application, tooth extraction, and anti-lice treatment and shampoo.

Based on the survey of the Department of Education, toothache and lice infestation are among the top three reasons why public school children absent themselves from their classes mainly because of ignorance or inability to buy toothpaste or anti-lice shampoo.

Given that these problems still exist, Lamoiyan Corporation, according to Ang, is firm in its resolve to find a solution to these problems through its very own products—the first Filipino-made toothpaste  and Licealiz shampoo—which are made affordable yet world class in quality.

“We are very thankful to Lamoiyan Corporation for choosing our community as one of the beneficiaries for their anniversary outreach campaign. It's really a big help for my constituents. We are very  indeed,”Brgy. 73 Chairman Joven Llena said.

For its part, as a trade partner of Lamoiyan Corporation and in helping select the community to adopt for Project Silver in their area of distribution, Fast Trax Corporation (FTC) Supervisor Hans Castro stressed: “We are also  to be part of this very meaningful and noble project. It’s really an honor for us to be a partner of Lamoiyan Corporation in its continued commitment of serving the Filipino people.”

FTC, being the exclusive distributor of Lamoiyan products in Metro Manila, and other 17 regional trade partners of the toothpaste manufacturer, are set to conduct other medical-dental missions in 24 more communities nationwide until June of this year.

“We are just beginning with a single step. Hopefully with this project, more and more people will become aware of proper hygiene, be it keeping their teeth or hair clean,” Ang said.
