Crystal Clear :The pride of water purification in the Philippines is now in Africa

Filipino purified water brand Crystal Clear, one of the more popular bottled drinking water brands in the Philippines, announced that the brand is now available in a thriving market such as Sierra Leone in Africa.

Under a joint venture between local firm Peninsular Innovative Group and Solerex Water Technologies, Inc., which formed the new company Solerex Peninsular Ventures (SPV), the first Crystal Clear water station in Sierra Leone and in the West African region is located at Kissy Road along the eastern end of Freetown. Freetown is the capital city of Sierra Leone and is the country’s acknowledged urban, economic, financial, cultural, educational and political hub.

The company will provide water supply, treatment, desalination, and storage solutions for both commercial and industrial projects in Sierra Leone.

According to Jose Antonio “Che” Soler, President and Chief Executive Officer of Solerex Water Technologies, Inc., they are proud to be present in Sierra Leone, a country known for its rich natural resources, including precious stones like diamonds, and be able to provide its citizens with clean, safe and natural drinking water.

“This is really a first for any Filipino company, and a water firm at that, to open in this part of the world. We all know that there is a general lack of potable drinking water in many African countries, which is really bad since they have a very hot climate, and also contributes to the prevalence of many ailments. With this new venture, we hope to be able to provide Africans, at least in Sierra Leone, access to safe and quality drinking water,” Soler said.

Soler also declared that the venture is also targeting at opening a minimum of 20 more stores in other areas of Sierra Leone in order to let more Sierra Leoneans experience the taste and crystal-clear purity of Crystal Clear water.

For her part, Peninsular Innovative Group CEO Yakama Jones expressed delight that the company will now be able to provide high quality water that is readily available and more importantly, affordable. “We are happy that Solerex partnered with us in our objective of eradicating water-borne diseases and bring to our country cleaner water and thus save more lives.”
