Microsoft Launches It : It's More Fun in the Philippine Campaign

Microsoft recently launched Microsoft I.T: It’s More Fun in the Philippines Campaign, their first ever nationwide technology road show that will not only highlight various technology innovations in 15 cities around the Philippines, but also enable individuals and communities to improve productivity using technology.

The event was held last Sept. 5, 2011 at Aracama Restaurant in The Fort Strip, together with other media and bloggers; I was happy to be part of those who witness this wonderful event. The road show will run for two months beginning Sept. 10 in General Santos.



Microsoft I.T: It’s More Fun in the Philippines campaign is in line with the plan to increase focus on empowering Filipino owned business and  helping them achieve global competitiveness through productivity solutions and continuous innovations. To kick start the program, a 15 city productivity road show   the most fascinating innovations in the country will be highlighted. These innovations will inspire and drive entrepreneurs and business in using technology powered by IT and productivity solutions in further achieving success. Microsoft together with local government units will mobilize the road show at the provincial level and show how technology can improve their operations.

Some technology innovations that will be showcased in the road show include the Rapid Signal Electronics in General Santos, an innovation that transmits signals through wireless technology to make machine work, Taxi ATM Card Terminal in Davao, the country’s first cashless mode of transportation payment, CEPALCO  Solar Power Plant in CDO , a power plant that has 6,500 soar panels set on two hectares of land, and Automated Rain Gauges in Iloilo, a real time data weather system that helps forecast strong rains and flash flood.

Microsoft will also reach to the youth through its partner schools nationwide. Microsoft will go around the schools to show these institutions how they can optimize technology and help in their operations. Microsoft Philippines desire to empower others with technology and how it can enrich people’s lives, build business, and further improved the country

The campaign is in partnership with Ford Philippines, who’s all new2013 Ranger was announced to be the official vehicle for the road show and will carry Microsoft Philippines three Most Valuable Professionals on the 15 city tour. Microsoft MVPs are considered the best and the brightest from technology communities around the Philippines and will actively share their technical expertise with the different communities they will visit during the road show.
